Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd. has an exciting opportunity to work within the Corporate Underwriting team and provide support across all Everest Reinsurance business segments. The location of this position is in our corporate headquarters in Liberty Corner, NJ.

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Underwriting, along with the Chief Underwriting Officer across many of the daily operations of the Reinsurance Division:
Assist in leading the Corporate Underwriting initiative to develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, authorities, compliance documents and processes to be implemented across Business Units to support efficiency and compliance needs.
Assist in drafting position papers\\\\statements, in coordination with Everest Insurance on industry underwriting topics as requested.
Assist in leading the initiative to incorporate underwriting authorities, referrals and binding of business directly out of the UWS system.
Assist in organizing and participating in corporate underwriting audits across Reinsurance division.
Assist in organizing and running underwriting summits as well as education and training programs.
Work with the Head of Corporate Underwriting to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of support services across multiple internal groups.
Assist in enhancing Board Level reports and other internal and external reports.
Identify process efficiency improvements and effectively use problem solving and sound business judgment to resolve issues and create efficiencies across the Reinsurance Division.
Responsible for ensuring a close integration between the Reinsurance Division, Internal Audit, Cat Management, Actuarial Pricing and Reserving, Enterprise Risk Management group, Claims, IT, Finance and Accounting, Everest Insurance Corporate Underwriting, etc.
Work Experience and Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in the property-casualty reinsurance industry, preferably with corporate underwriting experience.
CPCU or actuarial designation preferred, although we are open to others with extensive underwriting experience.
Proactive and forward-looking; this individual will be expected to contribute in taking Everest to the next level and beyond as it relates to business processes, data and analytics.
Excellent business acumen and track record of working collaboratively across disciplines: Underwriting, Reserving, Pricing, Finance, Risk Management, Product Development, Claims, IT etc.
Strong track record of project management and simultaneous delivery of projects
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Excellent ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical communities.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in collaborating with stakeholder and presenting results to senior executives.
Fast learner and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.
